My Celeron 300A is currently running at 450 and working fine. Although, it just isn't fast enough.

yeah i've overclocked lots o' stuff. none of it mine. well, some of it. I've helped friends with stuff like a celeron 366 and a p !!! 600e. something I really wanted. Right now i've got my pentium 75 at 100. not great, but better. I have a new mobo(P3V4X) and plan on getting a 600E with cB0 stepping. and i haven't decided what i'm going to get for ram. probably something rated about 150.

hey kai, the cC0 stepping is out nov3,2000
I'd definately wait for that to be available if i was you.. here are the specs.

-CPU ID change (from 0683 to 0686)
-Correction of errata . . .
-5\% shrink in die size

overclocking..ahh one of my favorite hobbies

my first OC was my 486sx-25 which i ran at 33 mHz. I'd never even heard of overclocking, I was just reading my mobo manual one day and saw the jumper settings for different speeds.. the gears started grinding slowly, hmmmmmmmmmmm....
So I set the jumpers from 25 to 33 and viola, it worked and i was pretty stoked. Doom and Xwing now flew!

Now i run a celery300a @ 464 h2o cooled and a Duron 650 @ 900 Gorb cooled.
Oh yeah, my TNT1 is OC'd and so is my GF2MX.

And i overclocked my Volkswagen with a turbocharger.

haha computer and car mods, does it get any better?

theres some great overclocking equipment (and even a celeron water cooler) at www.techpatrol.com.au , thats where i got my stuff for tnt and cpu. they are in australia, but it is still a good guide as to what kinda stuff in available.

av, i would love to water cool my cpu, but im too scared of spraying my whole comp with water, or condensation. how do you keep the water cold? theres a guy at overclockers.com.au that used a radiator from a car to keep it cool

This is inspired by FatBitch's post on overclocking her TNT2 card...

how many of you overclock or mod your hardware? What do you overclock and/or mod? Good results? Bad results? Favorite mods? Etc.

Personally, I've overclocked 2 Celerons (333 -> 375 and 400 -> 450), and modified my SB Live! Value to have 4 - 1/4" line inputs (I have 2 synths and didn't want to buy a mixer

With my watercooling system the water stays cold on its own, i have a big enough tank (about 2 gallons) where the water doesn't get much above room temperture. I threw ice in for those marathon UT sessions.
I pretty much use my duron system for gaming now, it's sooooo much faster

i think the best cooling set up ive heard of, is this guy i know who has his mobo and shit out of a case, and has the entire thing submerged in mineral oil, and the mineral oil basically has an air conditioner in it. i dunno what he OCed, but that setup just sounds awesome...
