Hey all, i just got a blue orb hs/fan combo (like a small chrome/gold org from thermaltake, for vid card cpu's). i have a TNT2 (Diamond viper 770) that has a heatsink stuck on it, with i presume some sort of superglue. so i guess im looking for a way to get this HS off without damaging the card, i will take a picture of it and post it shortly. as usual, any help is appreciated

Look, you psycho. I've been drinking tonight, but I recall your never ending crusade to overclock your computer to the point of insanity. Just accept your video card. If the manufactureres expected your card to explode in a blaze of glory, they would have not sold it to you for 轜 AU. Unless you want to get 375 fps on your quake game (the point where epelectic patients don't notice packet loss on your pathetic 28.8 modem), just chill. The best I can recommend is to put a fan on your video card. The heatsink looks exactly like the heatsink on a Slot7 mainboard. just get a fan, and you should be fine. The TNT2 doesn't get hot enough to warrent this type of attention unless it is the crutch of your system.

What next: overclock your soundcard? network card? modem? printer-god-damn-port!!!!

If nothing else, get a bunch of VoodooGraphics card and daisychain them with the TNT card. Ya Freakin Hobo!

Oh yeah? Word is your penis looks like something that's burnt to a crisp. I also heard various conversation that would suggest your penis's capacity for sex is nonexistant due to your impotence and its lack of length and girth.

Overclock that, fux0r!

its probably thermal glue and not super glue. if it was superglue they are spastical and should be shot because then there would be no point sticking the heatsink on it.

anyway to get it off - you should be able to pull it off. be very gentle and try lifting one side at a time.

alternatively - perhaps a more effective cooling method would be to just get a bigger fan that pumps more CFM through, and bolt it onto the existing heatsink.

HTH
