On a more serious note, think about what this means we really may have in five or ten years - sci-fi writers really ARE prophets, apparently. Should we let this technology evolve by itself? Do you think it requires some sort of oversight, or even intercession?
Discuss - the possibilities of this technology that is right here, right now, are staggering, exhilirating.....and frightening.

Controlling computers with our minds is a good thing. Hopefully I'll avoid an RSI until I can get implanted.

which is why you don't run windows. you should run a special embedded kernel, doing just what the implants need. do DSL modems crash? Do sound cards? no. because they are purpose built.
or, you should just run Linux.

easy solution: Linux. no popups, because you can just go root and delete the popup engine, kill -9 the bg processes, viri won't infect you, because there are no *nix viri, and the brain is Prior Art.
