I'd like to get an opinion on this from people like wolfgaurd if they've seen it for obvious reasons. i thought it was a darned good film even if it did suffer from Shaving Ryans privates shaky cam syndrome. i have to admit i was a big sucker for the hardware (BMP!!! woohoo....i would have jumped in one of them and mowed down all the bad guys but thats my operation flashpoint habits seeping out there ;)). i hope Black Hawk Down is gonna be as good that looks like its gonna kickass. I do wonder if filmmakers do realise that ejection seats are so pwerful that you generally dont come away from one without somehting being dislocated quite badly.

The camera effects in this film were fricking good nice to see bullets dont get stopped by rose bushes (aka commando) in this film.

i thought it sucked. the plot was okay and the acting was okay but the action scenes were cheesy as hell. reminded me of john woo bullshit. I was just waiting for a dove to fly across during that last fight scene...

"Bat*21 tagline: Trapped behind enemy lines. A whole army after him... And only one man can save him."

...sound familiar?

Plot Summary for Bat*21 (1988)
During the Vietnam war, a U.S. observation plane is hit by a V.C. missile. The only survivor of the crew is the Lieutenant Colonel Iceal Hambleton, an expert in missile weaponry. Because of his knowledge, it is crucial to rescue him before the Vietcong get their hands on him. It's a very difficult task because the enemy is listening to Hambleton's radio transmissions. And he knows it...

Bat21 is a great movie, imho. Based on a true story as well.

Behind Enemy Lines is also based on a true story: that of Scott O'Grady, who was shot down in Bosnia, I believe.
