I went out and saw it, second showing. Absolutely one of the best movies ever. At least of what I've seen. I never read the book (yea yea I know), but I am now. Anyone else go out and see it? What'd you think?
PS I'm getting the score!

If you tell anyone anything about it (that includes me, I'm seeing it tomorrow) I will have to kill you.

All I will tell you is that you won't be disappointed. The acting is very well done, the music rules, and the photgraphy is excellent. It's got Acadamy Award written all over it. I'm going to see it again tomorrow, then again over the break, at the really nice big theatre in the next city.

Galadriel of Lothlorien.
And that was one of the best movies I've ever seen... Lot's of differences from the book (trust me), but I think a very good adaptation...
I'm waiting to see Mithrandir and the King of Númenor, Elessar Telcontar, Heir of Isildur, whup some Nazgûl, Curunír, and Sauron ass.

I've read farther in the book (just finshed chapter 2 and I'm ovr 100 pages into the book!), and I have to agree that their are alot of differences, but they carry the theme and idea of the book over to the movie very well. I love how they pulled alot of the best lines right out of the book. Can't wait for the second and third. I think I'm gonna go down to Suncoast and reserve my copy of the DVD box set now... think they'll hold the reservation for three years?

I just saw the movie and the movie theater was completely packed, that amazed me because I thought the hype of the movies would push some people not to see it. I thought the books were slow moving because J.R.R Tolkien pays a lot of attention to detail, and to me it sometimes slows down the pace of the book. I thought the movie was completely the opposite of that, the camera shots were awesome and the actors, I thought, did a really good job. I am looking forward to the second.

Put it on ebay. If we wanted to buy something of that nature, we'd find it ourselves. Don't advertise it here.
