I personally like to try stuff out before I buy it, to see whether or not I like it. So if I download a song, like it and go get the album, or if I download a song, don't like it and delete it, does that make me evil? So far I have bought every album which I like the MP3s, and the MP3s I don't like I delete because I need the harddrive space for more important things. This way, I don't waste any money and the artists still get their money.

well thats the thing, a lot of people do buy the cd, but theres no system to be able to tell whether they do or not. i think if there was some way to prove that the download of mp3s lead to more sales, like hard evidence of the percentage of people who d/l and then buy the cd or delete it, then i dont think many people would be against it. but there are far too many people who do download it, and dont buy the cd. almost everyone i know is that way. my dad is too lazy to do that even, he just borrows cds from the library and copies them. hes like "its legal, so why not?" and then he also bitches at my sister for downloading mp3s. even more than dumb people, i hate hypocrits(sp?). double standards are just wrong.

I know what you mean, I hate hypocrites too. (That's the correct spelling I do believe.) At least be honest about yourself and others, even if you can't be decent. I personally hold others to a much lower standard than I hold myself, but I do think people need to start showing enough respect to be honest with each other if nothing else.
