Just wondering if anyone has any cool little software utilities on their computer that they think others should have too. POST THE URL!

For example: www.flyswat.com
A small IE plugin that automatically creates links from text on your screen.

Anyone else?

I also use Textpad....here are a few more utils...

Zonealarm... http://www.zonelabs.com/
It's the only free firewall I've found that doesn't require extensive tcp/ip knowledge to setup.

Mass Downloader... http://www.metaproducts.com/mpMD-AY.html
It opens 10 connections to wherever you're downloading from. It even sped up my slow analog connect.

TIP... http://grc.com/clickdeath.htm
Everyone w/ a Zip or Jaz drive should dl this.

X-setup... http://www.xteq.com/products/xset/index.html
It's the best Win32 tweak prog I've found.

Atomtime... http://www.atomtime.com/
It synchronizes your clock w/ an atomic time server.

I've never used Atomtime so I can't say if it's a good or bad program. But the program I use that does the same thing (and seemingly has more options and a nicer UI) is SocketWatch

Since both are shareware I'd just try them both out, but I'm kind of partial to SocketWatch since I've been using it for so long.

As far as 133t utils go, EMACS has it all. Email, scheduling, games, wordproscesing and programing all in one multitasking enviro. EMACS kick the llama's ass man.

Well if you use Windows and you like Notepad you should probably try UltraEdit - www.ultraedit.com. It is like Notepad except it has some added features. My favorite feature is the tabs across the top for when you have multiple files open. This way when I'm coding a website I can have all the pages up and just click the tab for where I want to go.

Unless I want the formatting of MS Word, for all text editing I do, I do with VIM. Gotta love that syntax highlighting
