When I came to school this morning the first thing I was told was that my arts teacher of several years has died. It was a real shock though we'd known she had cancer... she left school 2 years ago but she still appeared in all staff lists and all and there was never any talking about her health getting worse or something. I can't understand it. The last time a teacher had to leave school for health reasons, they'd at least give us the address so we could write... nothing this time. It feels so bad, I haven't seen her for 2 years but there's suddenly so many memories and I miss her really badly... why do things like that have to happen?

Moreover, as I'm in a Catholic School, there'll be a Requiem. I went to the secretary and said I'd at least want to help prepare that Mass as there was nothing else to do... I bet that the school direction is not gonna let me.

Thanks, askheaves.

And Chrissy: I dunno, it's like the direction likes to do things "officially". Meaning, without any "kids" with modern, open ideas in there. Sorry, that's mean, it is a good school and I like it... just sometimes they are so damn old-fashioned.

liney: you've got my empathy. i've been where you are, even wrote a poem about it.

the thing about a teacher is that they never really die. they live through what they taught you.

wow kuru that poem is really beautiful.

it's true... teachers live through what they taught us... there are so many memories... lessons you even considered boring and now you know how precious they were... it is too sad.
