Im not quite sure if this goes here, but i would appreciate any help on the subject. I have been for the past two days racking my brain trying to use this free web cam hosting software(don't even think it). My problem lies in my network. There are 4 comps, two within one house and 2 within another house(don't ask). Im using DSL through earthlink-linksys crappola.
/me lowers head, please don't shun me.Ok i am no comp wiz so without going in a million circles. I would like to have just my computer be exposed to the internet and use certain ports (3) 2047,2048 & 1972. I go to the stupid 192.168.1...and mess with the DMZ HOST tab and matched it to my ip, this seems to allow me to use the software for less than a few minutes and then boots me off the server. I am trying to be discrete about this becuase im sure my dad would disown me if even found this webcam, he always thinks the worse. So without messing with his computer or the other networked computers im wondering if this is going to be possible.
I also skrewed with the FORWARDING tab but this seems to only work if the router's DHCP server function is disabled(how the hell do i disable it? ). Does that mean i will have too configure the ip address, Mask, and DNS settings of every computer on the network?? Dad will surely hang me. Will i inevitably have to establish a static ip address if all fails??Disabling the DHCP, boots me off as well.. help me.. i want to cry.
On a slightly different note, i have been getting numerous .DLL errors(RPCRTA.DLL ,EZULAAGENT.DLL,KERNEL.DLL.. ) anyway to make em go away??
