Guh?I'm sorry if a counter-argument to your position means I'm a small-minded person, but I'll take that risk. Firstly, the Taliban ARE buddy-buddy with Bin Laden. If you don't believe it, look back to the video of Usama and Omar hanging out in front of the cave together talking about the bombings. Or, how about all of the Taliban's defenses of the attacks. Or, that Usama himself has taken credit for the attacks and threatened further ones in no uncertain terms. To me, this is a recipe for self-defense. Stop his ability to kill more Americans, or more Americans get killed. And, it may be elitist or imperialist or capitalist or whatever evil word you want to pin on us, but it's our right. I know you have a boner for everywhere other than America, but that doesn't mean we're always wrong. And if you think that we should ignore that some buttholes (who we're pursuing) killed 3-4000 people and blew up two of our favorite buildings, then your grip on reality is slipping. I don't know how this could be an argument. Have your opinions, but know that they're wrong  Ten times worse my ass. We've imposed freedom upon them. We've taken away the worry that a woman would be shot on site for her vail slipping down, or a man would be jailed for not wanting to wear an ugly beard. They can play music again. It was fucking Taliban Footloose over there! I don't see how that's worse. In a couple years, they'll get the Kosovo treatment. You know, a free government with representation from every group around. Bombs may kill in the short term, but they build a free world in the long run

Yeah, but um, they do kill the women in Afghanistan for showing their faces, among many other things. That counts as murder too, in my opinion.

Bull shit! First of all, the World Trade Center was an unprovoked* and unexpected attack on a civilian target.
Thousands of innocent people were killed, people who had no connection to any relations with the middle east or terrorism or whatever. The US retaliation has been making an effort (not perfect but an effort nonetheless, more than we can say for the terrorists) to strike only MILITARY targets. Not to mention the humanitarian aid rations and such that have been distributed.Second, the Taliban have been oppressing the people of Afghanistan for a while. By helping to get rid of their "government", would we be doing Afghanistan a favor? *And I KNOW you're gonna say that it was provoked because the US had it coming and we deserve it and it's our fault blah blah etc. But it wasn't the product of an ongoing military conflict.They deliberately hit us with our backs turned, and killed lots of innocent people.
